East Pattaya

East Pattaya is a sub-District of Banglamung with many Expat’s residing in this area, from living in very affordable apartments, Town houses, single houses or impressive large Pool villas with many of these properties in secure gated community. It has a nickname of “The dark-side” with people saying this descends from back in the 1960’s when there was only one main road running east from Pattaya City called soi Pornprapanimit (Siam country club road) which in the early years didn’t have any streetlights making the road very dark.

    As the name suggests (Soi Siam country club) at the furthest point from Pattaya City there is a Golf and country club. Living in East Pattaya if you are a fan of Golf then there is approximately 25 golf courses in the Pattaya surrounding area and most of them are within easy reach of the city with travelling times of 45 minutes or less. Close by to this there is Mabprachan lake and in recent years a cycling and running track has been built around it, with lush garden areas for general exercising or just relaxation. Several Restaurants and bars are also situated around the lake.

Many long-term residences prefer to live in this area being only just a short distance away from vibrant City life and entertainment that Pattaya City has become renowned for. 

This area in recent years can boast many restaurants, shops including expat food stores and Markets giving you the opportunity not to visit the city Centre unless you desire to.
